Boardwalk Porsche Announces Mike Marsh Has Completed Year-Long Executive Management Training Program
Boardwalk Porsche, an automotive dealership serving the Plano area, today announced that Mike Marsh, General Manager, has graduated from the NCM Institute’s year-long General Management Executive Program, a comprehensive executive development training program for auto dealership managers. Marsh attended a series of six 2½ day training sessions conducted over an 11-month period at the NCM Institute’s training facilities in Kansas City, completing the training on June 6th. The automotive industry is ultra-competitive and there is a high demand for well trained, customer focused executives that can create a good buying experience for vehicle shoppers, while continuing to successfully market and grow the dealership.
Happy to be among the graduates of the General Management Executive Program, Mike Marsh had this to say about the program, “The GMEP process was demanding, but a great learning experience. Now I’m eager to put the knowledge I’ve acquired to work here at Boardwalk Porsche to take our customer experience to the next level.” Marsh was one of 18 dealership executives and general managers from across the U.S. who successfully completed the rigorous training program which began on August 1, 2012.
“The management team at Boardwalk all feel strongly about continuing education for all of our staff and are proud of Mike for completing this program with NCM. Boardwalk believes that there is no better investment than in our people and we will continue to challenge each member of our team to learn and grow every day,” stated Ken Ambrose, Senior Vice President with Boardwalk Auto Group.
The General Management Executive Program is administered by the NCM® Institute Center for Automotive Retail Excellence and is designed to equip current and future automotive dealership executives for long-term success in retail automotive management. With emphasis in dealership financial and operational best practices, the program prepares students with the executive leadership skills necessary to successfully manage a retail automotive operation, where they must balance the volatility of the industry with the myriad operational decisions that drive the profitability of their dealerships.
NCM’s president and chief executive officer, Paul A. Faletti Jr., lauded the dealerships for their collective commitment to investing in their future leaders and for their dedication to promoting excellence and integrity in the industry. “We are an organization devoted to helping our automotive retail clients succeed,” he explained. “Without question, the most successful operators are those who invest in their people, giving them the tools and resources they need to be the best they can be.”
